Initial Ideas/Renders
Knowing that this was going to be produced in Pace's Schaeberle theatre, we knew that spacing was a challenge we'd have to be thinking about from the get-go

In talks with the director, the phrases "forced perspective" "art gallery" and "technology" popped up multiple times, and we decided to integrate those ideas into the design.
Thinking about the space we had available, we considered multiple layouts, with each option giving us different opportunities moving forward.
Eventually, we settled on a wider, more symmetrical layout for the piece. Meaning we'd have to move the risers from their normal spot along the narrow wall.

Visual Research/Inspiration

In communication with both the Director and the Lighting Designer, we discussed color, wall decor, and the images that would be up on the gallery walls.
And while we never really got a distinct answer on what would end up on the walls, we came up with multiple options on how to put up "pieces", and made sure to have multiple options depending on actor blocking, and future director decisions.
